Christmas Tree

She honestly won't leave this thing alone. All the ornaments are coming off, the lights are on the ground, and there are needles everywhere! I can't wait to get this thing down.

Snow

Lucy loves the snow!!! She loves watching the snowflakes fall, stomping around in it, and falling on her bum in the snow. Too bad I don't really like it!

Ava Baby

Ava baby was sealed to her family on December 5, 2009. It was a very special day and we are so lucky to have her in our family. We love you 'Bava'!!

Welcome Home Elder Henriksen

Dan arrived home on December 2, 2009 from the California, San Fernando, Spanish speaking mission. This meant that I got to do lots of shopping with someone else's money - too fun! Dan looks great and it has been a blast to have him home. As you can see Lucy cuddled up right away. She hasn't stopped loving 'Da' since.

Lucy got her first haircut 2 weeks ago. The mullet had to go! We chopped about 2 inches into a little A-line. She actually sat pretty still for me. I love cutting girl's hair and can't wait to do it again!

At least Dorothy Smiled

Thank you Grace for being the only child smiling. Too funny. Ava may look like she is smiling, but really she is freaking out!

Lucy had her first day of Nursery a few weeks ago. She arrived with some pig tails that lasted about 45 seconds. She did okay the first day with daddy in there, but has had no success since. She is so friendly to everyone I am shocked she is having a hard time. Hopefully it will just take a few more weeks.

I think Lucy is already embarrased of her mama. She sill not stay by me unless I am holding her. She runs away everywhere. Lucy even got lost in Walmart once. Luckily they have a great system when a child goes missing. It was a scary few minutes!

This is the face I see a lot. It is her 'I know I am not supposed to do this, but I am going to do it anyway' face. She is a rascal and tests my limits every minute!

Last week in the car I could tell Lucy was pooping, so I asked her if she was pooping. She pointed to her diaper and said 'pee pee'. Lucy also loves to sit on the potty and say 'potty'. One day we might even get a tinkle out!

One thing we hear all day is Lulu singing. She LOVES to sing. When Lucy is asked to put something away she sings 'cean u, cean u'. She knew the tune to the goodnight song a few months ago and now sings it to her babies constantly. Another favorite is the ABC's; she will just sing letters until you sing the real song with her. I think she has some 'Germer Gang' in her!!

One things Lucy has learned in the past month is to not fall on a wooden stool in the kitchen ever again. IT HURTS BAD, and bleeds even more. And it can knock 2 teeth in and make you rush to an oral surgeon (thank goodness it was my cousin - thanks again Dave!).
It was so scary when we looked in her mouth and saw one of her front teeth facing towards her throat, one tooth jammed so far up we couldn't see it, and no gum line. It was one of those moments where you feel so blessed because we don't have to go through pain every day.
Luckily She still has all her teeth and so far they are not black - yay. They are crooked but luckily they are just baby teeth. Rhett and I were so relieved when everything really did turn out okay. She is one lucky girl!

18 Months Old!!

Lucy is 18 months old. WOW! I have been a mama for 18 months. Weird. Every day with Lucy is so unique these days. No day has ever been the same as the day before since she was born. Lucy is not a schedule baby. It is still an adjustment every day figuring out what today will bring us. She is learning so much these days it is crazy. Over the next few weeks I will tell you 18 new happenings in the life of Lulu.

Okay, so these pictures are from when Lucy was 15 months old, but I haven't posted them yet. Although Lucy cried and whined most of the shoot, we love how they turned out! It was our 4th shoot with Melissa Sue Photography. We love her! Thanks again Melissa.
