In the beginning of August Lucy had a Urinary Tract Infection which caused a bad fever and painful peeing. She was miserable. We were so blessed the doctor was able to determine what the infection was before sending us to the hospital. Because she was so young when she got the infection it can mean she has something wrong with her urinary tract so they set us up to do an ultrasound and a VCUG test. Last week we FINALLY had our appointment at Primary Children's after waiting, wondering, and worrying for almost 2 months. Lucy was a champ and didn't cry once...I was in shock. For the VCUG test she had to have another catheter and her legs were bound together. It was actually really funny to see her legs like that. She never has her legs together but she still found a way to move them like a mermaid. Both doctors we spoke to said everything looked great but they would have to send it to some more experts to review. We were so relieved to get the news that everything looks fine. No kidney or bladder problems, no more antibiotics, and hopefully that will mean her system can start to get back to normal again. Hooray.

Holly, I'm glad everything went well for little Lucy. Peter had those same tests when he was first born too. Not fun, but glad she didn't cry.
I'm so glad that it went well and that they're thinking she's in the clear. One less thing to worry about, right? Good job Lucy!
That's great news! That poor little girl has gone through a lot in her less-than-five-months of life.
She did so good at volleyball and so did her mama! I had no idea you were such an awesome volleyball player!! So glad you're on my team!
Holly! I didn't know Lucy had a UTI. That is what Evie had when she was 6 weeks old, but ended up having urinary reflux (one of the things the vcug checks for). She actually just had surgery a month ago for it! If the NP's up there at Pediatric Urology end up having bad news for you give me a call!!! Good luck!
Seriously, that little one has been through sooo much already in her little life so far! I can't believe how well she did with all of that! She is one tough little chica!
What a relief! Nothing is worse than seeing your baby uncomfortable. I'm so glad to hear the good news. YAY!
I am glad that she made it through the tests without crying. What a brave little girl.
What?? Babies shouldn't have to go through such things and neither should their parents. Miss seeing you guys. Lu is a Dolly.
What a trooper! Glad things seem to be getting better!
Wow! I am happy everything is ok with cute Lucy. Keep us posted!
That is good news, she is so dang cute! miss you guys!
Poor girlie! I'm so glad she's okay! It's crazy to see how chunky she's gotten in that first picture without her clothes. I hope you guys are doing well!
