It took us over an hour to get home. My back still hurts from the stress! We put Lucy to bed and went and played in the snow. This was one of my favorite things we did all day. It was so quiet outside and we just got to enjoy being kids again. The snow angel picture at the bottom was just taken yesterday. Thanks honey for a great Christmas. I had a blast.

Christmas Day
After Rhett and I made a yummy breakfast we headed to Rhett's parents for more present opening. I got a purse that I have wanted for months and Lucy got a cute phone. It was fun to see family that was in town. The best present was Wyatt and Annie announcing they are pregnant. We are so excited for you! Then we headed back to my parents. Lucy got her first Madam Alexander doll that matched her new Christmas outfit. She loves her. We also got to talk to my brother who is on his mission in California. It was so fun to talk to him. He sounds great and we can't wait to see him in 10 months! We stayed a few more hours and headed home in the storm.
Christmas Morning
I obviously had a ton of fun this Christmas. It was so fun to share the magic of Christmas with Lucy. She woke up ready to go at 7:30 so we headed in the room to see what Santa brought each of us. Santa was able to surprise Rhett with a new suit and the 'down sweater' he has been begging for. Rhett and I surprised each other with photo books of Lucy. He even made one for each set of grandparents. Rhett surprised me with some very special earrings. I was so excited. Lucy got way too much stuff, but she really had NO toys and most of them we put away to bring out later. Yes, I am trying to make myself feel better!
Go to sleep Lucy
When we got home we tried putting Lucy to bed at least 4 times. She was so excited for Santa to come, she would not go to sleep. We gave in, and decided to get out one of her new trains. She LOVED it. She played for another hour. She finally went to bed at 11:00 pm. Santa even came while she was still awake and spoiled her a little rotten!
Favorite Christmas Eve Tradition
On Christmas Eve my mom passes out a cute candle stick made out of a gumdrop, lifesaver, and a candle. We go around the room and tell the person next to us why we love them and what we wish them for the upcoming year. The highlight this year was Liam (3 years old) wishing Derron (30 years old) a cat.
Christmas Eve
We went to my parents this year for Christmas Eve. We even got to open a few presents because Rick had to work on Christmas day. It was hectic, but lots of fun. One of the best gifts I received this year was a binder full of Priesthood Blessings my dad has given me throughout my life that he has recorded. It has been awesome to go back and read through them.

Oh Christmas Tree
Because we missed out on the Christmas tree hunting this year. We headed to our neighborhood Clem's (freak show) to get our $11.00 black market tree. It is little with big ornaments and I love it. As you can see, Lucy loves it too. This is what happened the other day during my first 'too quiet' moments! Since then she will roll to it ALL the time!
